Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce Names 3 Birds Marketing a Finalist for 2011 Large Business of the Year

Chapel Hill, North Carolina, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) January 23, 2012 -- JANUARY 23, 2012 – CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – 3 Birds Marketing, LLC, a fast-growing, Chapel Hill, North Carolina-based digital marketing firm, is pleased to announce that the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce has selected the company as one of three finalists for the 2011 Business of the Year Award in the “large business” category. The annual award is given in recognition of the outstanding Chamber member business that has shown growth, innovation of product, exemplary customer service, and contribution to the community. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, January 24.

Since opening its doors in Chapel Hill in 2009, 3 Birds Marketing has quickly grown from a staff of six to a full-time staff of 33 employees, as well as several part-time staff and a regular pool of interns drawn from the nearby University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During the same period, 3 Birds’ clientele grew from just one client in 2009 to over 400 nationwide clients today. The company’s dramatic growth can be attributed in large part to the group’s innovative and proprietary suite of software and marketing solutions.

Company founders Layton and Kristen Judd were drawn to Chapel Hill from California in 2009 because of the city’s close proximity to three major universities, as well as to renowned tech center Research Triangle Park. “Since moving to Chapel Hill two years ago, we’ve committed ourselves fully to our new hometown, and it is an absolute honor to be considered by the Chamber for the Business of the Year award,” said Kristen Judd. “We feel truly lucky to have found a place that meets all of our needs in terms of talent, business opportunities, and quality of life, and we see it as our responsibility to continue giving back to the community as 3 Birds continues to grow.”
