Developed for the sulphite paper industry in Sweden 70 years ago, Super Duplex has a high tensile strength, better resistance to erosion, corrosion cracking and fatigue than conventional steel. Its austenitic ferritic iron chromium-nickel alloys and molybdenum composition aid corrosion resistance.

Super Duplex has a low coefficient of thermal expansion making it ideal for mechanical components like heat exchangers, cooling pipes and tensile wiring - its high thermal conductivity makes it easily welded too.
