The Carolina Association of Translators and Interpreters will hold their Twenty-Fourth Annual Conference on April 9, 2011 at the University of South Carolina Upstate at Spartanburg. Ms. Mary Chen of Chen Language Services will be a speaker at the event and her subject will be related to working with the Asian-American Community. Mary Chen has been providing language services to businesses and individuals for over 20 years, both in China as well as in the United States. Ms. Chen possesses an extensive understanding of Asian cultures necessary for accurate interpretation. She established her own company, Chen Language Services, LLC in 2008 to meet the demand for quality Asian language services in this area. Mary has a BA in English from China and an MS in Child Development from UNCG. Besides her business, she is actively involved in several ethnic organizations, including NAAAP (National Association of Asian American Professionals) and NCCBA (North Carolina Chinese Business Association). She is very passionate about helping the Asian American community to live a prosperous life in this country.
