CHESTNUT RIDGE CONSERVANCY ANNOUNCES FIRST ANNUAL MEETING TO BE HELD AT THE CHESTNUT RIDGE PARK MACKINNON SHELTER ON MAY 14, 2011

Orchard Park, New York, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) May 6, 2011 -- Orchard Park, NY (Free-Press-Release.com) May 6, 2011 – The Chestnut Ridge Conservancy, Inc. ,
(CRC) a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)organization dedicated to support the restoration and preservation of
the rich natural, recreational, and historic resources that comprise Chestnut Ridge Park, is pleased to
announce plans for their first annual meeting. This event will be held on Saturday May 14, 2011 at
11:00am at the MacKinnon Shelter inside Chestnut Ridge Park.

While current members of the Conservancy are encouraged to attend, the meeting is open to the

public. Anyone with an interest in the restoration and preservation of Chestnut Ridge Park is welcome.
In addition to reports from the various CRC sub-committees, the Conservancy will be providing a hot
dog lunch and guided tours of the park to those interested. The CRC will also be selling its logo
merchandise and Conservancy memberships.

Chestnut Ridge Conservancy President John Bailey stated: “The CRC has seen tremendous growth

since our kick-off in January of 2010. There is much to report on and many great things happening. As
always, we are indebted to our members and volunteers for their generosity, and to County Executive
Collins, County Parks Commissioner Hornung, Deputy Parks Commissioner Jemiolo, and the staff of
the Parks Department for their willingness to work with us. They have been 100% supportive of our
efforts.”

All money raised by the Conservancy helps to fund Conservancy-selected projects. These projects are
over and above those already budgeted by the county.
