CHESTNUT RIDGE CONSERVANCY PARTICIPATING IN THE BUFFALO PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA AT CHESTNUT RIDGE PARK ON JULY 1, 2011

Orchard Park, NY (Free-Press-Release.com) June 21, 2011 – The Chestnut Ridge Conservancy, Inc. , a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the restoration and preservation of Chestnut Ridge Park in Orchard Park, NY, is pleased to announce its involvement in this year’s Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra “Summer with the BPO” performance at Chestnut Ridge Park. This concert is part of the First Niagara Bank’s Summer in the Parks series.

This free event is open to the public and will be held at 7:00pm on Friday July 1, 2011 on the sledding hill next to the Chestnut Ridge Casino. As was the case last year, the BPO will set up their bandstand at the base of the hill. The theme of this year’s concert will be patriotic music.

To add to the festivities, the CRC will be handing out American flags to those making a donation to the Conservancy. They will also be selling Conservancy memberships and logo merchandise. Conservancy volunteers will be “passing the bucket” with all proceeds used to fund projects that the Conservancy has selected. These projects are over and above those already budgeted by the county.

Chestnut Ridge Conservancy Chairman, Ray Fabiniak stated: “The cooperation between the Erie County Parks department under Commissioner Jim Hornung and Deputy Commissioner Stan Jemiolo, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Chestnut Ridge Conservancy is outstanding. We are all working in concert to promote the natural beauty of this county gem. There is no finer outdoor venue for a concert in the southtowns.”

“Contributions to the Conservancy through free will donations, the purchase of logo merchandise, and by becoming a Conservancy member, are channeled back into the park to help us to achieve our goal of restoring and preserving this local treasure,” Fabiniak added.
