Chic Gems Hosts Online Trunk Show to Benefit The Aparecio Foundation

(Free-Press-Release.com) October 8, 2009 -- Sarah Radford of Chic Gems Etc. will be hosting an online trunk show to benefit The Aparecio Foundation (www.AparecioFoundation.org ) through this November. Sarah has been working with the Aparecio Foundation, which assists women of Chicago Public School systems with education and career choices. Sarah chose to do the trunk show because this is one way that her and others can give back to those less fortunate.

Shoppers can choose from any of the jewelry on Chic Gems Etc. (www.ChicGemsEtc.com) and enter the code “aparecio” while checking out to donate 20% of their purchase to the foundation. As a thank you, shoppers will also receive 10% off of their purchase as well. The online trunk show will last until November 30, 2009.

Sarah has also designed a couture necklace in which 20% of the proceeds will benefit the foundation. This necklace features a purple quartz pendant that makes a statement against the bronze glass pearl chain. The necklace is adjustable up to 22in. long and can be layered in two ways.

The Aparecio Foundation, founded in March 2009 by Jessica George, is a non-profit, 501(c) (3) charity geared toward the development of a four year renewable scholarship program designed to accelerate achievement for low-income, high-potential women in Chicago Public High Schools. Utilizing a group-mentoring model, the student mentoring initiative creates opportunities for our women scholars to connect with professional women from a wide range of industries over the course of six years.
