Need some spring in your home? Try going green – the color green, that is. Your Chicago furniture dealer can help you create the perfect balance of color to brighten up a room for the season.
A favorite mix of mine is sage green with a stronger, bolder color like hot pink or orange. Depending on your accent color this can be fun and flippy or rich and classic. If you desire a more elegant parlor look, try a deep sage green with an orange-red accent. This is also an excellent color scheme when buying a dining room set Chicago or metro area.
When using combos of color, lime green is still the thing and combined with cornflower blue and red for a fun look it can perk up a room with just a few accent pieces and no major changes or expenses. A more masculine look can be achieved by adding sepia or gray to a Kelly green palette – a twist on the hunting lodge color scheme.
If your taste is more casual, sprinkle in some shades of blue with your favorite green or go for that beachy feel with a clean white palette and toss around some green and teal accents.
Are you Irish even after St. Patrick’s Day? Then the Kelly green of the Emerald Isle’s rolling hills and the ever-popular lime green will help you marry old-world sophistication to frolicking fun. For those whose taste runs more to the modern or the undecided, an intermingling of grass green elements with bold black accents provide just the look.
Feeling an attitude? Take it up a notch with hot pink and lime green, one of my favorite-ever combinations. For a more traditional lakeside or country feel, keep a white base and use liberal doses of bright green and yellow – imitating nature and nautical colors. When searching for a dining room set Chicago buyers may want a lighter feel for the room. Green colors can help lighten up a dim dining room and colorful, seasonal accents give the finishing touch.
Ready for the fresh, fruity feel of summer? Go for lime green with a splash of orange and you will almost taste the tang of citrus when you walk into the room. A country cottage look turns more toward sage green with brown and deep red, especially with big textile print accents.
Need something for the younger crowd? Pale greens and pinks are a wonderful combination for a little girl’s room or even a nursery. Shades of green mixed with jewel tones will achieve a royal look and can even take on a Victorian feel for a teen or adult bedroom.
If you want to freshen up your rooms with green, find your favorite shade, gather some things you already own that fall in that color palette and have fun. Your Chicago furniture dealer has beautiful pieces and advice from professional to help you along.
