Chicago Realtor Welcomed to Dream Town Realty

Shiela Dietz is one of the residential consultants who started with the company in December of 2009. Ms. Dietz is a licensed Realtor and appraiser in both Illinois and Michigan.

Ms. Dietz has been a residential specialist for seven years and has lived in Chicago for the past two years. She also has 11 years' teaching experience, and over 20 years in management positions working for one of the Big Three automotive companies and in a global information-technology organization. Her professional acknowledgments include recognition by Crain's Detroit Business as one of Detroit's "Most Influential Women".

"Much of my career before real estate was focused on entrepreneurial ventures and large-scale international operations," said Ms. Dietz. "It's surprising how much of my skill set from those jobs I use every day to help clients buy and sell residential properties."

Complementing her role as a Realtor, Ms. Dietz is also a licensed appraiser. She says having a working knowledge of both the sales and valuation side of real estate is a benefit to her clients. "Especially in today's market, where buyers are declined loans as a result of low property appraisals, I give my clients the upper hand because I can foresee issues like that and am prepared to deal with them," she said.

Site users can search for the latest listings using Dream Town's Interactive Map Search, which employs clickable Google map technology.

Ms. Dietz has an MBA in finance from the University of Michigan. She is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and is in the process of obtaining her LEED certification.
