Child Experiences Full Recovery From Autism Because Mother Never Gave Up
Mother says no to institutionalization and finds success with physicians utilizing biomedical treatments.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) December 8, 2009 --
Kristi Chrysler’s first boy, Richie, regressed into Autism at 12 months. His symptoms were so severe at age five that she was advised by her doctor to have him institutionalized. Unable to accept the prognosis of Richie’s doctor, Kristi began researching biomedical modalities to treat her son. With the help of a doctor that focused on biomedical treatments instead of traditional Autism protocols, Richie was ultimately diagnosed as having fully recovered from Autism. On the advice of Richie’s physician, Kristi tried the same biomedical based program used for her son and has experienced a full recovery from her 14 year battle with Lupus. Kristi shares her and her son’s journey to recovery as a story of perseverance, hope, and success in her book, “Autism: Recovery Against All Odds”.
Richie was severely Autistic. At times he could have as many as 10 meltdowns per day. These meltdowns resulted in broken bones for younger siblings, self mutilation and fits of rage. To prevent injury, Kristi taught her other children a hide and seek game where they would go and hide in their room until Richie fell asleep. All the while she would hug Richie as he attempted to get away with punches and head butts. One doctor called him a “bad apple” and advised institutionalization, while another felt he was just “acting out” because of a new sibling.
In her quest for anything she could do to keep her son out of an institution and less aggressive, she came across a conference in San Diego, CA called Defeat Autism Now! (DAN). With this first conference, Kristi embarked upon a journey of intensive medical and therapy intervention that would span over the next five years. During this period she was not given much hope for improvement from most of the doctors she consulted. Eventually Richie was accepted as a patient by Dr. Sydney Baker. Dr. Baker was the very one who wrote the biomedical protocol all the Defeat Autism Now! doctors were using. Three years later Richie was in full recovery.
While in the midst of trying to help her son, Kristi was living with Lupus, an autoimmune disease that attacks the body’s organs. Dr. Baker suggested that the same treatments used by her son to defeat Autism could possibly be used to help her with Lupus. Kristi found a doctor in her area that was familiar with the Defeat Autism Now! protocol – Dr. Tammy Born. With the use of biomedical modalities, Kristi made a full recovery in two years. She and Dr. Born are currently writing a book on Lupus and autoimmune disease recovery to share this information with others suffering from Lupus or other autoimmune diseases.
In the end Kristi has a happier Richie and a healthier self. Richie’s doctors told her to commit her son and her doctors did not expect her to live much long after 40. Both are living happy, normal, symptom free lives. Kristi Chrysler refused to be a bystander in her and her son’s health.
