Children’s Violin Picture Book – The Doll Violinist by Mayra Calvani

Award-winning children’s picture book intertwines the magical season of Christmas, lost loves, and the violin making for an endearing story of human kindness and empathy.

LOUIS, MO) – Award-winning children’s author, Mayra Calvani releases her third children’s violin picture book The Doll Violinist, which is the recipient of the ABC's Children's Picture Book Finalist and Honorable Mention Award in the 75th Annual Writers Digest Writing Competition. The book release is in perfect timing for the 2011 holiday season to help you introduce the love of the violin to your youngster.

Five days before Christmas, Emma is captivated by a doll in a shop window. Each day, she sneaks out of the orphanage to check if it’s been sold, but the shop owner, Madame Dubois, sends her away. Will the magic of Christmas bring Emma, Madame Dubois, and the doll violinist together?

About the author: Mayra Calvani writes fiction and nonfiction for children and adults and has authored over a dozen books, some of which have won awards. Her stories, reviews, interviews and articles have appeared on numerous publications such as The Writer, Writer’s Journal, Multicultural Review, and Bloomsbury Review, among many others.
