This is a great opportunity for you and your friends to get involved! We even offer community service hours for those who need it.
Volunteers must be 13 years old OR (if not) be accompanied by an adult. A Parent signature is required on all minors’ liability waiver forms and all cleaning supplies will be provided. We applaud any reusable efforts, especially bringing your own refillable water bottles instead.
If you plan to bring a group of 10 or more, please let us know so we can accommodate your group.

The cleanup will begin promptly at 10 a.m.

EVENT DETAILS : A Prize for the Strangest Item of Garbage
Last year over 100 volunteers from the surrounding communities and others from all over Los Angeles County cleaned up over 200 pounds of garbage in Manhattan Beach, including some strange and random items.
There will be a prize for whoever collects the most and another for the strangest single item retrieved. Volunteers will be treated to food and drinks in the morning and/or lunch after the cleanup. We will also feature a guest speaker from Heal the Bay, and as always, there will be pick-up games, free fitness training sessions and giveaways for our participants.
We will also host a simultaneous beach clean-up event to celebrate Earth Day in Long Beach. For more details, please contact us below or please visit our website.
This event will take place on April 22nd 2012, from 10-2 pm, rain or shine. Volunteers should meet at the south side of the Venice Pier: 3100 Ocean Front Walk @ Washington Blvd. Venice 90292
