Car hire comparison website launches new winter road safety offers for kids and parents

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) October 26, 2009 -- New road awareness promotions to make sure that everyone who uses the roads - parents and kids – stay safe this winter have been launched by vehicle hire comparator Carrentals.co.uk.

With the shorter, colder days ahead, the company’s new Road Sense campaign is designed to offer advice, support and resources to families concerned about safety as road visibility steadily becomes reduced.

Offers on www.carrentals.co.uk include 10% off all stock of high visibility accessories and other clothing for the kids from BrightKidz - with the discount available across its entire stock including jackets and fleeces, to hats and umbrellas, all designed to be fun and help kids be seen. In addition, high visibility apparel company Cyberglow is offering a 20% off its total stock of colourful reflective stickers and badges, and selection of luminous road safety clothing.

Me-Mo.co.uk – the first internet car accessory brand aimed primarily at girls is also offering 20% off its complete catalogue (excluding Minnetonka driving shoes or Isotta Urban Glow range). The site primarily focuses on women, but it presents things for men too, features accessories such as car seat covers, steering wheel covers, travel blankets, and seat belt comforters.

While personal safety champions Survival Box are offering 15% off purchase of their emergency Winter Car Kits, which include items such as a high visibility jacket, high energy food as well as a first aid kit, ice scraper and more.

Gareth Robinson, managing director of www.Carrentals.co.uk, says: “Winter can be a very dangerous time on the roads – for drivers and pedestrians. Particularly with the dark nights, children can be vulnerable and the aim of Road Sense is to help parents keep their families safe.

“The Road Sense website features a growing range of offers, all of which are easily accessible online, together with a range of advice and information to help improve awareness of road safety.”

The www.Carrentals.co.uk Road Sense website – www.carrentals.co.uk/roadsense2009 - is also offering users of the website a chance to win an essential winter kit worth £150 from Halfords, which includes useful products like a tyre pressure gauge, a high visibility jacket, and an N-drive Sat Nav.

Advice and resources on subjects such as winter driving, car care, driving at night and what to do in an accident is also included on the website.

www.Carrentals.co.uk compares prices from over 35 rental companies, including Alamo, Budget, Hertz, Holiday Autos, Sixt and Thrifty, in over 2000 locations worldwide.
