Carty promised the Scharring-Hausen’s that she would preserve the historical foundation of the written works.

Neither Powers nor Stevenson ever shared who published their works in the early 1960’s. Carty feel s this is relevant because there are no copies of the Footprints poem predating 1963 available anywhere on the internet. There are over 50 major companies that produce footprints poem products without paying the rightful owner. Some companies have earned over 50 million a year on this bestseller and have merged companies because of the poems success. The digital images of the footprints poem swamp Google and other search engines. However none of these companies have paid Carty not even one cent.
