1. Gift cards – Why we like gift cards (even though many people fail to use them) is that it is a flexible present, allowing the recipient to choose what they wish to purchase. And let’s face it, boxing day sales and end of year sales will provide even better bargains than we are seeing today. Remember to give a gift card that suits the needs of the person receiving the card. If you have the time, why not try and get your hands on a visa prepaid gift card!
2. Last minute research – yes, you have left your run to the last minute to stock up on gifts, but make sure you research prices and gifts. Don’t just go to the shop without any idea of what gifts you are going to buy.
3. Budget – make a list; make a budget and stick to the budget. Don’t go overboard if you don’t have the money. Remember in 6 months time most people won’t even remember what you gave them for Xmas!

5. Don’t panic – whatever you do, don’t panic shop. Even if it is getting late on Christmas eve, you are better off putting cash in a card or getting to your local Coles and getting some Gift vouchers than buying presents that are either over priced or will never be used.
