The site also features many seasonal fun activities; how to say Merry Christmas in over 70 languages, the opportunity to sing along with your favorite Carols & songs in Christmas Karaoke and you can build a Nativity Scene and Decorate a Christmas Tree all online! There’s also the annual Advent Calendar, which is also on twitter for the first time.

The site is run by web designer James Cooper. When asked why he started the site he replied "I first created whychristmas?com for some school teacher friends to use with their classes. It's great how the site has developed and been used by kids of all ages from over 200 countries! I love running the site and helping people to get into the Christmas spirit and understand the real meaning of Christmas."

In co-operation with Lifespring! Media the site also produces The Lifespring! Why Christmas Show, a podcast that delivers entertainment from the 1st December until Christmas Day.
