The guide was a short-lived success before Zynga intervened, bringing a halt to the sale of the CityVille Tricks Guide, alleging copyright infringement against Brunelle for the use of photos related to the CityVille Game.

The Associated Press was able to confirm that the photos had been publically released with no claims to trademark or copyright, and the exact photos were being used on several hundred websites, blogs and even in more than a dozen other CityVille guides which have now been surfacing all over the internet, some even being sold through the ClickBank website, but Zynga has not objected to similar use of the photos by others.

A Zynga spokesperson refused to comment on the matter, however The Associated Press reviewed emails to Phillip Brunelle from both the Zynga Corporation and Brunelle's webhosting provider, alleging copyright infringement with the use of the photos being used so commonly around the internet, including other CityVille Guides still being sold online without interruption.

The Zynga Vs. Brunelle copyright infringement matter not only brought a halt to the sales of Brunelle's CityVille guide, but also put an end to his distribution website for the guide. This however did not stop Brunelle as he once again has been working diligently on a new website, where he will now offer the same CityVille tips and tricks to the general public, except not for a price...
