(Free-Press-Release.com) September 23, 2009 -- The event, the brain-child of Terry Carter, owner of Terry’s Automotive & Qwik Lube, says “I’ve always wanted to sponsor a car and truck show…I love cars and trucks and there is almost nothing more fun than when these special cars and trucks are brought together…otherwise they are tucked away in a garage and rarely seen.” says Carter. Cars and trucks are filled with memories that are fun to share with one another. “I love the look on the children’s face when they see some of the classics or big trucks…their eyes get as big as a silver dollar” says Carter.

Both Ocala and Gainesville have a huge number of car and truck fanatics…from mint condition Model A and Model Ts to 60’s muscle cars, and all sorts of customized 4 x 4s. There is a “hidden culture” of car and truck enthusiasts in this area…you never know what you are going to see… ANYONE with a car or truck they want to show is invited…there is no cost, but Terry’s Automotive and Qwik Lube is asking the car and truck owners to register online. “It’s the only way we can be sure we’ll have enough room for everyone to be able to enjoy the event.”

In addition Terry’s Automotive and Qwik Lube has arranged a state-of-the-art remote control (R/C) exhibition involving cars, trucks, airplanes, and helicopters. Professional R/C drivers from HobbyTown USA will be performing throughout the afternoon. Some of the trucks will be running jumps of up to 70 feet. Carter says, “We are really excited to have the R/C exhibition…I never cease to be amazed at what these high-tech vehicles can do with these skilled operators. These are great fun for kids of all ages.”

The show is scheduled for October 3rd from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Terry’s Automotive and Qwik Lube at 6501 SW Archer Road (across from Kanapaha Station) and it is FREE to all…come on down and enjoy looking at these special cars and trucks…there is no Gator Game this day and it is a perfect event for the entire family to enjoy. Carter encouraged guys and gals, Moms and Dads, and Families to come and enjoy the afternoon looking at all the different cars and trucks. This is all about having fun, sharing stories and memories, and time together with folks that love cars and trucks.
