Classics for Kids; A Family Concert Benefiting Orphans Around the World

(Free-Press-Release.com) February 18, 2010 -- This family event is a chance to enjoy beautiful classical music and raise awareness and support for orphans worldwide at the same time. NGOs, churches and families are coming together Sunday, March 7th from 4:00 to 5:00pm to listen to a performance of harp, piano, voice and flute. Between the performances a narrator will share a moral story with creative and humorous sidelights and audience participation. A reception with refreshments will follow the concert.

This event will be held at Oakton Methodist Church 2951 Chain Bridge Rd. Oakton, VA 22124. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children and a maximum of $20 for each family. All proceeds will benefit the efforts of four non-profit organizations that serve orphans in Haiti, Sierra Leone, Nepal, Kenya, Peru and Columbia. These organizations include the Ambassadors for Peace Association of Virginia, Child Rescue Centre, High Cloud Foundation and Communities of Peace.
