Cleveland Browns’ Players Team-up to Spread Holiday Cheer to Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital for Rehabilitation
December 24, 2010 (CLEVELAND)– Cleveland Browns’ Defensive Backs Mike Adams and Abram Elam, joined forces for the Holidays to give back to some deserving youth. On Tuesday, December 28, both players will visit Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital for Rehabilitation, 2801 MLK Jr. Dr. in Cleveland at noon to distribute Christmas gifts to in-patient youths at the Children’s Hospital.
Mike Adams has been a supporter of the Cleveland Clinic since joining the Cleveland Browns in 2007. He saw the happiness on the kid’s faces during his last Christmas visit to the hospital that he jumped at the chance to grant Christmas Wishes again this year.
Joining Adams this year is his defensive back teammate Abram Elam. “When Mike asked me to join him in making the wishes of the children in the hospital come true, I didn’t hesitate to lend my support,” says Elam.
Ten children provided a wish list of gifts for Christmas including DVDs, MP3 Players, store gift cards, clothes and toys. The ages range from 6 months old to 19 years old.
“I’m fortunate to be in a position to be a blessing to others. I look forward to spending time with the children and seeing their happy faces. I admire their courage and strength in the midst of adversity,” states Adams.
Media is invited on-site to cover the event on Tuesday, December 28th at noon. For more information and media inquiries, contact Kevin Ziegler at Cleveland Clinic at 216.636.5876.
