(MARKHAM, ON – January 21, 2012): Helping Lost Pets(HeLP) is launching a major awareness campaign to get more pets back home. The campaign is called ‘Click to HeLP’ and the shelter/rescue that brings in the most votes during the contest period will win $1,000.00. There are over 1,700 missing and found pets and over 2,300 adoptable pets listed on the website. There are many families searching for their pets and the goal is to reach them with this campaign so they visit the site and hopefully find their pet among those listed as found. As word of the contest spreads, more people will join the website. When searching for a lost pet, the more people know a pet is missing, the better the chances that pet will get back home safe.
The contest is open to any shelter/rescue in Canada or the United States that has listed adoptable pets on the website. You can vote once per day from Sat. Jan. 21, 2012 through to Sun. Feb. 19, 2012. This is our second contest and our first contest winner Northern Ontario Animal Welfare Society (NOAWS) won $1,000 in Dec. 2011.
