Collectible Snowballs? On E-bay?

"We had a very unique and unusual snowfall event here in the Houston Texas area on December 4, 2009." It hardly ever snows in the Houston Texas area, and it has never snowed this early in the winter before.

Mickey Mixon, Director of the Job Search Survival program in Sugar Land Texas, thought the snowball auction would be a good way to raise some funds for the unemployment training program he directs.

Mixon said funds for the ministry are always in short supply, and saw the snowfall event as a "once in a lifetime" opportunity. "I had never heard of anyone ever selling real snowballs on e-bay, and thought I would give it a try."

"I know it is somewhat unusual, selling a perishable item such as snowballs on e-bay. But hey, people collect all sorts of things now days. Why not snowballs?"
