Timothy Razkani was a struggling college student and suddenly found money lying on his lap, but didn't seem to care. As a kid he started naturally doing abstract art without the teachers telling him. His color matching, brush direction, and feel was very similar to a professionals. The only person that seemed to care was Timothy and his art teacher Miss Angelo. She had told Timothy's parents and they kind of shrug it off as sloppy paints because they were not familiar with abstract art which uses a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition which may exist with a degree of independence from visual references in the world.
Abstraction indicates a departure from reality in depiction of imagery in art. This departure from accurate representation can be only slight, or it can be partial, or it can be complete. This is why Miss Angelo was so impressed with Timothy's art work. Such a young kid can get so detached from his surroundings while he was painting. For such a young kid to express his feelings through the use of Abstract art was amazing. He was able to express happiness and comfort with dark colors which was so unusual and interesting that Miss Angelo staid in touch with Timothy and still stays in touch with him to this day. This brings us to the truly amazing story.
Timothy was struggling to pay for his living expenses, tuition, and books last year until he made a phone call to Miss Angelo. Before the phone call, tuition was coming due and Timothy had spent all of his money on canvas, top of the line paints, clay for his raku, and digital prints of famous abstract artist for his studies. You see his parents agreed to pay for his college tuition as long as he didn't work and didn't go to "fling paint all over the place," which is how they referred to abstract painting. Well Timothy had different ideas for how he could spend his tuition money. He took the money his parents put in his account for tuition, books, and living expenses and spent all of it on art supply and famous digital prints. He then proceeded to get a student loan to pay for his tuition. The only problem is he had to keep his GPA above a 2.5 to keep getting his tuition paid for. Well.... it is an under statement to say his fascination with art consumed his life so he couldn't focus on school.....
Needless to say his GPA had fallen below the requirement to get student loan money and could not tell his parents that he spent all his money to "throw paint around." Feeling hopeless he called somebody who really believed in him to ask for advise, Mrs. Angelo. Well she knew of a New York art festival he could take his paintings to for auction, and what I am about to tell you could lead Timothy to dominating everything that has to do with abstract art.....
She told him to grab 5 of his best paintings to bring to the fair and put up for auction. He told Mrs. Angelo that $500 wouldn't be enough for tuition... Mrs. Angelo said, "Timothy, your paintings are so original in design and expression they will go for much more than that if the bidders have any knowledge of the abstract art." Here comes the kicker, his first piece got more bids than any painting there, sailing well beyond $10,000. The remaining 4 brought in a total of $9,833 relieving Timothy of his money stresses. She asked him if he knew how he was giong to pay his tuition now. His reply, "No, I am going to by a studio apartment in Manhattan so I can paint with plenty of room for my pieces."
His passion for abstract art is felt in his presence. Being that Timothy lived in New York, there were several business men that approached the young man to strike a deal and market his work.. Timothy was not interested, he would tell them "I just love to paint so I can express myself." It wasn't until Timothy was hurting for cash again that he finally struck a deal with one of the business men. They are currently working very hard to make his work easily available for the public, but it will come with a price. He only wants to focus on original hand painted originals because Timothy says that "it doesn't matter what kind of copier, printer, scanner you use, they are in-perfect because they are not original."
Although the paintings will be available to the public you should expect to pay anywhere from $1,000 - $10,000 for a piece. This once hurt college student is causing a huge buzz in the art world. Abstract underground is what Timothy told Donald Gates he wanted to call the company. That is what it will be and soon you will be able to purchase original pieces at www.abstractunderground.com
