As spring cleaning of closets and garages begins, Colonial Bank and The Robin Hood Project (RHP) are teaming up to help local families.
Colonial Bank is a full-service community bank with nine locations in the heart of South Jersey. The RHP is a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization serving Cumberland and Salem counties. Together they are running the “Spring Baby Shower Drive,” an effort directed at helping local families in need of baby essentials.
“We are really thrilled to kick-off our Spring Baby Shower Drive. There are many families in our area in need of essential baby items such as diapers, wipes, formula, and much, much more,” said Stacy Fisher, Founder of the RHP. “Having the support of Colonial Bank is a tremendous help which is greatly appreciated by The Robin Hood Project and all local families in need.”
The Colonial Bank/RHP Spring Baby Shower Drive will run during the month of May. The following donated items can be dropped off at any of Colonial Bank’s participating South Jersey branches: New or gently used clothing, bibs, crib linens, blankets, diaper bags, monitors, bouncy seats, baby carriers, play mats, strollers and infant seats. The drive will also accept diapers, wipes, formula, lotions and baby shampoo and bath supplies. The following items will not be accepted: toys, car seats, cribs, and stuffed animals.
“It is an honor to work with the RHP to coordinate this Spring Baby Shower Drive,” said Ed Geletka, President of Colonial Bank. “We developed our Community Partners Program to give back to our community and help ease local hardships. This Baby Shower is just one example of what Colonial Bank does everyday to help make a positive impact in our area.”
RHP volunteers will be collecting Spring Baby Shower Drive items from collection boxes in participating Colonial Bank branches and distributing them to local families in Cumberland and Salem counties. Community members may donate items at the following addresses: 2745 S. Delsea Drive in Vineland, 85 W Broad Street in Bridgeton, 339 Main Street in Cedarville, 1107 N High Street in Millville, 1245 Highway 77 in Upper Deerfield, 1771 Lincoln Avenue in Vineland, and 125 W. Landis Avenue in Vineland.
The Robin Hood Project, Inc. has directly helped hundreds of local families in need of Cumberland and Salem counties.
Through the collection of donated items from fellow community members, the RHP places these items into the hands of families in our community who need them. This grassroots project of friends and family continues to help struggling neighbors with limited financial means. Members of the RHP work directly with local service organizations and non-profits, including The Family Success Centers of Millville and Vineland, Cumberland County Special Health Services, The Early Intervention Program of South Jersey HealthCare, the Spanish Community Center and PathStone to find necessities for the families they serve. For more information about the RHP or to become a volunteer, call 609-364-4554 or email TheRobinHoodProject@comcast.net.
