Colorado Earth Day Specials: Preserve Family Time with a Budget and Eco-Friendly Vacation
ESTES PARK, Colo.- YMCA of the Rockies celebrates our planet every day with special programs and policies. YMCA of the Rockies’ Colorado resort-style destinations are inviting guests to share in the Earth Day festivities by offering special rates and activities.
Surrounded on three sides by Rocky Mountain National Park, guests at the 860-acre Estes Park Center are privileged to experience Mother Nature’s beauty firsthand. The Estes Park Center opened 3 LEED-certified lodges in 2010, showing their commitment to sustainable and earth-friendly facilities. Rooms in Longs Peak, Rams Horn, and Emerald Mountain lodges will be available starting at Super Value Rates of $99 over Earth Day weekend. Discounted rates will also be available on multi-bedroom cabins. For a limited-time Stay two nights, get the third night free special helps guests conserve funds when planning a long weekend.
During Earth Day Weekend, the Craft and Design Center at Estes Park Center, will be offering the opportunity to make recycled crafts. Guests can learn how to make recycled paper beads and bracelets, while supplies last.
Rocky Mountain National Park will be offering free admission April 21-29, offering Estes Park Center guests even more opportunities to enjoy the Colorado Rockies.
Opening its first facilities in 1908, YMCA of the Rockies has grown to include two resort-style properties and a traditional summer camp. YMCA of the Rockies is committed to protecting and preserving the natural environments in which it operates. Guests can participate in recycling and composting programs, learn about earth stewardship, stay in sustainably-constructed lodgings, and play in Colorado’s beautiful natural environment.
