(Free-Press-Release.com) January 28, 2010 -- San Jose, CA -- Fit Body San Jose Boot Camp announces that Santa Clara native and Colorado Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki will be volunteering at the ‘Burn the Fat, Feed the Hungry’ three hour Boot Camp aimed to raise money for the San Jose Family Shelter and to promote fitness as part of a healthy lifestyle.

The “Burn the Fat, Feed the Hungry” Boot Camp will be held on Saturday, February 13th from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM for a $25 donation. The workout will take place at the West Valley Gymnastic School located at 1190 Dell Ave, Campbell, CA. The San Jose Family Shelter will also be on hand to take donations and answer questions.

Every participant that makes a full donation will receive a complimentary autograph from Troy (from the hours of 9 – 10 AM), a free 10 minute massage from Roman Paradigm Massage, a $100 gift card towards any Fit Body San Jose boot camp as well as refreshments and other gifts from local and national sponsors.

In addition, Troy will be donating 4 San Francisco Giants tickets for the Friday April 30th home game against the Rockies in San Francisco at 7:15 PM. The tickets will be part of a silent auction.

All proceeds from the event, including donations for an autograph and the silent auction, will go towards the San Jose Family Shelter.

“I felt it was important to give back to the community while also bringing more awareness to health and fitness”, says Troy. “I wouldn’t be where I am in my career without the intense training and workouts that I do in the offseason. Because of that and the fact that most Americans are overweight and don’t take proper care of their bodies the way they should, I thought this was a perfect opportunity to do some good in the community and raise the profile of what Fit Body San Jose is doing to get people in great shape.”

Participants are welcome to workout at their own pace for as little as fifteen minutes or, for those up to the challenge, for the entire three hours. Activities will include fun but challenging exercises in a group atmosphere designed to burn fat and firm and tone the entire body.
