Our main teacher in the TESOL and ESL programs is Bud Lang who has been at YWAM Chico for more than 8 years. Formerly, he was a teacher in the public school system for more than 18 years.

We are very excited about what God is dong at Youth With A Mission(YWAM) Chico in California! TESOL and ESL are going to be combined for the first time. A real live-learn experience for TESOL and ESL students.
The TESOL course trains prospective teachers to help our ESL students learn English. The TESOL students will have immediate hands-on experience from the get-go.
I get so blessed to watch the students grow in the Lord- right before our eyes. Our focus is discipleship! The teaching and learning of English happens as we have our priorities in their proper order. I know I am prejudiced, but I believe we have one of the best TESOL/ESL programs in the world!
Our next school begins in January of 2010. The TESOL students will begin on January 6th, and ESL students will begin on January 10th.
Where will you live?
Single students will be housed in one of our dormitories, and student families are provided with family housing. Meals are served in the dining room at the Springs of Living Water Christian Conference Center with staff, guests and volunteers.
Our campus is located just outside of the university town of Chico, California. Originally known as Richardson Springs, the rich and the famous were drawn here for the mineral springs; and soon a resort hotel was built. There are recreational activities available such as a swimming pool, tennis & basketball court, volleyball, baseball/soccer field, hiking trails and fishing.

Married to Lyn for 54 years, 8 children, 27 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, with 2 more "on the way."
B.S. Degree from the University of San Franciso and an M.A.. His Thesis was on Ministry Development & Training.
Experience:
. Teacher in public schools for 18 years. Lifetime California Teaching Credential.
. Pastor/Principal of Christian Schools / Missionary for 10+ years
. 15+ years in adult training and development
. Ordained Minister- Land & Sea Missions of God
. 20 years coaching boys and girls, and men and women
. Communicator
. Builds Relationships
. YWAM- Administrator/Conference Director/CDTS Leader, TESOL & ESL Leader and Teacher.
. Many years in teaching and training groups thoughout North America, England, Peru,
Mexico, and The Philippines.
