Professional basketball is back in Seattle! That is if hedge fund manager Chris Hansen has his way. With negotiations ongoing and Sacramento's proposed relocation to the Northwest in limbo, one thing is for certain. The pros will be out in force Monday July 22, 2013, at the Boys & Girls Club of Mercer Island. Inspiring and enabling all young people to realize their full potential, the national non-profit announced today, its partnership with HSBCAMPS, America's fastest growing youth basketball program, and leader in bringing children of all ages and abilities, face-to-face with the pros. Teaming up to run a three day youth summer camp, the two organizations have aligned to train, mentor, and encourage an aspiring group of young student athletes, while giving back in the process. A portion of all camp proceeds will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club as well as the HSBCARES Fund, a vehicle that has raised and provided more than $100,000 in grants, scholarships, and vital basketball equipment to the less fortunate since its inception in 2008.

Nationally recognized as one of the countries top skill development programs, the three day camp will be geared towards teaching and developing advanced fundamentals of basketball to boys and girls in elementary, middle, and high school grades. Offering two sessions, The Morning Clinic will be open to youth in grades kindergarten through third. The Day Camp, grades four through twelve. Featuring a comprehensive curriculum of fundamental player development drills, station work, organized team competitions, and guest lectures, every participant will receive extensive knowledge and instruction on every aspect of his or her game.

œWe are very excited to be partnering with HSBCAMPS this summer, added Boys and Girls Club Athletic Director Becky Shaddle. We have a great facility for basketball and can't wait to share this ultimate basketball experience with our community!

In addition to Mercer Island, the nationally expanding youth basketball camp will also be serving up high scoring experiences in Houston, Texas; Twin Falls, Idaho; Boise, Idaho; Park City, Utah; Bend, Oregon; Bellevue, Washington; Hailey, Idaho; and Cheyenne, Wyoming.
