As part of its vision of being a “world class, full services, eLearning-enabled Learning Management company” with a footprint in key globally defined markets by 2015, CommLab India decided to embark on an organization-wide Six Sigma program targeted at creating more repeatability, sustainability and scalability in its processes, initiating its employees to a world class metrics-driven culture, as well as laying the building blocks for outcome-based services in the years to come.
With a focus on high customer satisfaction, CommLab India chooses to implement Six Sigma. Six Sigma is a highly disciplined process methodology that helps focus on developing and delivering near-perfect products and services, by helping eliminate error at every stage of every process. It involves Outside in focus, aligning business goals with customers. Some of the key characteristics of Six Sigma are:

The Six Sigma initiative at CommLab India will encompass Development, Learning Delivery, Project Management, Quality Assurance, Management Information Systems, Human Resources, Marketing and Sales processes amongst others.
Speaking about the Six Sigma initiative, the COO of CommLab India, Ayesha Habeeb Omer said that introducing Six Sigma was a decision taken after careful deliberation to their business goal of ‘cleaning up’ inefficiencies and redundancies in the current Services Organization.Six Sigma was a first step towards therealization of this goal. She said “We are very positive that Six Sigma will help us to reach near perfection in executing our key processes in line with customer expectations. We are also very excited about how Design for Six Sigma concepts can be applied to meet customer needs and process capability.We are looking forward to delivering improved results as a result of our Six Sigma initiative.”
The CEO of CommLab India, RK Prasad added “Our primary focus will be on better identifying customer needs, coming up with a sound method for making data-driven decisions by applying Six Sigma principles. We will streamline our current processes further so that there is a focus on reducing variability and hence ensuring consistency in quality.
