Community Open House with Delta Sigma Theta Detroit Foundation, Inc and Detroit Deltas

DETROIT- State and local officials, sorority and fraternity members, local community groups, church organizations and neighbors in the surrounding community are invited to an open house event that will mix fun times with vitally needed services. Guests will convene at one of Detroit’s largest non-profit organizations, property acquired by DSTDFI to conduct community service. The Community Open House is free and open to the public.

The event will take place on Saturday, June 26th from Noon until 5:00 p.m. at the new Detroit Deltas headquarters, located at 24760 West 7 Mile Road in Detroit, Michigan (the former Stark Hickey Ford dealership.) The new 50,000 sq. ft. facility is among the largest black-owned community service venues in the nation.

"Our expanded sorority headquarters increases our capacity to serve and is the perfect way for Detroit Deltas to mark our 71st year of service. This open house will serve as an opportunity for our organization to reach out to this community in which we will serve, and to let the community learn about resources available to them," said Mardi Woods, president of DST's Detroit Alumnae Chapter.

This event will include a guided facility tour, health screenings, games for children, vendors, refreshments and more.
