Community Place Sets Date for Dancing with the MS Stars

Brandon, Mississippi, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) February 24, 2012 -- Date Set for Dancing With the Mississippi Stars Benefit
Community Place is gearing up for its annual relocation benefit, Dancing with the Mississippi Stars. This year’s fund raiser will be held on Saturday, April 28 at the Jackson County Club. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with a performance by the Jackson All Stars. Silent and live auctions will precede the dance competition.

Local celebrities Nick Coughlin (Expedition Impossible), Nathan Coughlin, Lauren Jones, John Reeves (Attorney at Law), Suzanne Shows, Melinda Vining, will pair with professional dance instructors, Kristopher Hamel, Debbie Hollingsworth, Mike Spencer and representatives from Applause Dance Factory, Xpress Dance Company. WAPT's Stephanie Maxwell will serve as the Dancing With the Mississippi Stars emcee.
Last year, $22,000 was raised for the relocation campaign of Community Place, a non-profit facility. This year's goal is $35,000. Community Place is the only Mississippi nursing home to be awarded a five out of five stars rating according to a Jan. 28, 2010 USA Today’s Best Nursing Home Report. Established in 1932, it has grown from serving eight patients to being licensed to serve up to 60 people with needs ranging from short-term therapeutic services (physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy) to long-term 24-hour skilled nursing care.
