FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Cottage Grove, Oregon, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) January 29, 2012 --

Bed shaking alarm clocks are basically designed for hard of hearing and deaf people. These special clocks have a small vibrating disc or pad that is placed in the pillow case or between the mattresses. The pad is connected to the clock through a wire. These clocks are designed for those with hearing loss, however, they function equally well for people that are heavy sleepers, but hear well. Young people, in particular, tend to really like the vibrating wakeup feature. My wife and I use a bed shaking alarm clock ourselves. I’m profoundly deaf and my wife is totally deaf in one ear. When we used to set a regular loud radio or buzzer alarm clock, it didn’t always wake us up. That is why we decided to start using a bed shaking alarm clock. We're glad we did, because now, we never oversleep.

Noise alone is not enough to wake a deaf or hard of hearing person. Essentially, a bed shaking alarm clock wakes you by means of vibration, and this shakes you awake. If you use a bed shaking alarm, you will definitely wake up. We’ve found ours to be the most effective means of waking us in the morning. What we like about our bed shaking alarm clock is that it wakes us but does not disturb other sleepers in our house. We don’t use the buzzer – just the shaker and light. (Not only do house guests like to not be awakened, but the neighbors appreciate us letting them sleep, too!)

One of the bed shaking alarms we sell in our store is the Sonic Alert SB-1000V. This alarm clock has a bed shaker control which allows steady or pulsing vibrations for best alerting and it also has an adjustable loud buzzer up to 113 decibels. In addition to the bed shaker and buzzer, the clock also can wake you by flashing a bedside lamp. One switch lets you choose the bed shaker, lamp, buzzer signal, or any two or all three. The clock is easy to set up. A bedside lamp can be plugged into the clock and the vibrating pad can be placed between the mattress and box springs, or under your pillow. The clock has a built-in receiver that can be used as a receiver for picking up wireless signals from transmitters in other rooms. For example, it can pick up signals from a BC400 baby cry signaler or from a DB200 Deluxe Wireless Doorbell, Telephone Signaler/Transmitter.

These clocks are excellent for the deaf, the hard of hearing, over-sleepers, or anyone that prefers being shaken awake instead of being blasted by a loud sound. The vibration function is a more effective method of waking someone than the traditional alarm clock. You need to try one for yourself if you have never used one before. If you have ever overslept, then a vibrating alarm clock may be what you need. We personally use the Sonic Bomb Jr. alarm clock with bed shaker and couldn't live without it. When the alarm on our clock goes off with Bed shaking, Flashing red light, and/or Loud audible alarm, it wakes us up every time.
Check out the bed shaking alarm clocks in our store at www.bestassistedlivingaids.com. We sell several different bedside clocks to accommodate your needs, from traditional to bone crushing bed shakers, like the “The Skull” from Sonic Alert. We also have several travel alarm clocks and vibrating wristwatches for those on the go and those that are active.
