HISTORY OF TMR: The brand “Trace Minerals Research” is a line of healthcare products which have been marketed and sold in the United States for nearly 40 years. On April 6, 1999 the ownership of Trace Minerals Research LC. was transferred from the Anderson Family, the current owners of Mineral Resources Int. (MRI) to Mr. Scott Perkes, Mr. Matthew Kilts & Mr. Craig Miles, who are the current owners of Trace Minerals Research LC.

Since the transfer of ownership in 1999, TMR's group of companies has increased company sales by over 500 percent. Due to this rapid growth, TMR has more than doubled the size of its facility and has doubled its number of employees. However, TMR managed this rapid growth without sacrificing quality or abandoning the core principles and values that enabled such growth. Today, the TMR brand is an industry leading provider of ionic trace minerals.

While TMR would prefer to compete on the merits and quality of its own products, MRI has recently elected to attack TMR in “Notices” published in the newspaper, ‘Times of India’ dated 13th June, 2010. TMR believes that these misleading attacks are in retaliation for MRI’s legal defeats in the United States. In June 2006, TMR filed a lawsuit against MRI in the United States Federal Court accusing them of trademark infringement. In 2007, the United States District Court in Utah found that MRI breached its agreement with TMR "on several occasions" and "committed trademark infringement and unfair
competition" against TMR. See Trace Minerals Research v. Mineral Resources International, Inc., 505 F. Supp. 2d 1233 (D. Utah 2007). In 2009 another Court dismissed MRI’s lawsuit against TMR and ruled that MRI breached its agreement with TMR. TMR has had no business relationship with MRI or the Anderson Family since June 2006.
