Tampa, Florida, December 14, 2011 -- Constantine (Dean) W. Papas launched his own law practice on November 4, 2011, focusing on employer/employee disputes and business litigation. Mr. Papas has had a twenty year career with law firms in New York and Tampa and decided to start his own practice to better serve his clients. He believes that as a solo practitioner he will be able to maintain the same excellent service he has provided his clients over the years at reasonable prices that reflect his lower overhead costs. Mr. Papas represents employees in connection with claims for overtime wages, unlawful termination due to discrimination based on age, gender, religion, national origin, disability and other protected classifications, retaliation, breach of employment contract, non-competes and non-solicitation agreements. Mr. Papas represents businesses in breach of contract claims, fraud, breach of warranty, UCC claims, collection matters and general business disputes, including shareholder and fiduciary disputes. “Having the freedom to direct my own practice and select my own cases is very liberating. You can’t do that with a large firm.” Since opening his practice, Mr. Papas has resolved an employment dispute between a terminated corporate officer and a large public company, entered into settlement talks with the Social Security Administration over a sexual harassment claim, sought overtime wages from a company that misclassified an employee as exempt from overtime and defended an individual against a multimillion dollar judgment, among other matters.
Mr. Papas is pleased to offer his clients his undivided attention, competitive rates, and access to legal services often out of reach for many claimants. It is his belief, that especially in this economy, legal services should be available to all deserving citizens, not only to the well-to-do. Mr. Papas’ office is located in Tampa but he is available throughout all of central Florida. He can be reached at (813) 684-7104.
