CHICAGO – Chicago-based ContextMedia announced the launch of its third condition-specific waiting room TV network, the Rheumatoid Health Network (RHN), which will feature a focus on rheumatoid conditions.
Following in the footsteps of ContextMedia’s highly successful Diabetes Health Network, the Rheumatoid Health Network will reach and teach rheumatoid patients at precisely the right time, when they are thinking about treatment options, and the right place, in their physician’s office.
The RHN features an engaging 90-minute programming loop containing rheumatoid-specific video content from the most trusted sources of health-related news and information. Part of this programming includes commercial messages for relevant products and services from pharmaceutical and medical device companies.

Results from a recent study of ContextMedia’s networks show that 51% of the patient audience indicated that they have or plan to discuss information seen on the network with their physician during their next visit.

In its pilot stage, the RHN is supported with a charter sponsorship by a well-known rheumatoid arthritis brand from a leading global healthcare company. The Rheumatoid Health Network currently features 200 screens and is expected to be in 500 specialty physician waiting rooms by the end of 2011.
