Corks n Canvas and Painting with a Twist Partner with Dream Fund

Mandeville, Louisiana, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) August 15, 2011 -- Mandeville, LA- Painting with a Twist and Corks N Canvas have announced a major fundraising campaign to take place on Sunday, August 21 through the chain’s charitable partnership with The DREAM Fund, further aligning the brand with giving back to local communities in a time of need.

DREAM Fund is a Dallas-based nonprofit foundation and support link that serves the advertising, public relations and media communities throughout the Southwest. The mission of the fund is to aid colleagues in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arkansas and Louisiana facing an unexpected medical emergency or life crisis and in need of emotional support and financial assistance.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with such a unique organization,” said Cathy Deano, co-founder of Painting with a Twist. “Giving back to the local communities that our franchisees serve in is of utmost importance and The DREAM Fund is allowing our Southwest franchisees the opportunity to do so.

Painting with a Twist and Corks N Canvas co-founders, Cathy Deano and Renee Maloney, have firmly planted their roots in the non-profit world. As a result of their passion to give back, a monthly fundraiser “Painting with a Purpose,” is hosted throughout the franchise system, helping various organizations raise funds in the local communities that Painting with a Twist serves. Most often, each franchise selects a non-profit within their community; although participation by franchises is not mandatory, it is highly encouraged.

This month, Painting with a Twist Corporate has selected DREAM Fund as its recipient for the month of August, and on August 21 participating locations* are to donate anywhere from 50% to 100% of event proceeds back to DREAM Fund. The organization has been selected based on the non-profits’ commitment to their mission, the wide spectrum of people they serve and a shared franchise and recipient coverage area.
