Cougar Mountain Software Now Offers Touchscreen Technology

Boise, Idaho, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) September 13, 2011 -- DENALI POS+Accounting users can now add touchscreen compatibility to the score of features and hardware that Cougar Mountain Software offers for Point of Sale/Retail users. “Touchscreen compatibility has been a widely requested feature from many of our small retail business customers, and we felt that now was the time to introduce our new touchscreen monitors to meet their basic retail needs,” said Lori Pennington, Director of Product Management.

DENALI POS+Accounting users can now access their Sales Entry screens and complete sales transactions entirely through touchscreen technology. When we released DENALI 3.0 in 2010, we enlarged the icons in preparation for touchscreen technology. The monitor set up includes a default screen layout that hides customer information, from customers or front counter employees, for additional security. This simplified layout also makes transactions easier for front counter employees to process. This layout can be customized to fit the users' needs and gives them the ability to switch back to the mouse and keyboard if they feel more comfortable with that hardware.

You can couple the touchscreen with a hand scanner (also available from Cougar Mountain Software) to complete transactions even easier; you can complete a debit or credit card transaction in three simple touches.
