In 3 days' time, Asia Pacific's leading Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Conference will take on Kuala Lumpur where senior executives and corporate leaders from both private and public sector meet to discuss current BCM practices, issues and concerns.
The annual World Continuity Congress (WCC), held for the 11th time, will again establish a platform for executives and corporate leaders to participate in multiple dialogues with thought leaders specializing in the areas of business continuity management, crisis management, disaster recovery, and pandemic management of various industries from around the region. Not surprisingly, the recent crisis in Japan that not only brought about a nationwide disaster but also triggered a domino effect on supply chains worldwide, will be a main discussion topic in the conference. According to its organizer, Dr Goh Moh Heng, President of BCM Institute, the Institute has been swarmed with requests from members of the business community, non-profit organizations and government agencies back in March, when the World Continuity Congress was held in Singapore.
Today, more industry professionals, especially risk managers are becoming aware of the importance of crisis management and business continuity, and business continuity management as a discipline has shifted higher up the agenda in many companies across Asia. Dr Goh added that the paradigm is slowly shifting such that businesses are beginning to incorporate business continuity management into their corporate strategy.
The WCC, apart from the confenrence at The Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel this 28th, will also showcase a slew of solution providers for business continuity and disaster recovery and as well as a series of masterclasses for professional certification courses in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Crisis Management conducted by BCM Institute.

Apart from the conference, the WCC features an exhibition and also masterclasses for Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Crisis Management. Ultimaltely, WCC aims to promote and create awareness for business continuity for more resilient business operations and a more resilient economy at local, regional, national and international levels.
