FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) July 27, 2011 --
Crafters of unique handmade merchandise are sought for the 13th Annual Tewksbury Harvest Festival, which will take place on September 24, 2011, from 11 am to 4 pm at Christie Hoffman Farm in Califon, NJ. This event--one of Tewksbury's longest-running festivals--is sponsored by the Tewksbury Rescue Squad and Public Library, along with the efforts of many local township volunteers.
This year's Harvest Festival will feature hot-air balloon rides, live music, a petting zoo, pony rides, dance exhibitions, a classic car show, pumpkin painting, children's crafts, contests, a pig roast, and a large craft show featuring handmade arts and crafts by local artisans.
The craft show portion is being organized by The Craftique Creations and Promotions, a NJ-based event planner that specializes in promoting handmade goods. Craft show director Christine Cuccio Radlmann said, "Every year we find new and unique crafters so that festival-goers get a completely different shopping experience than they had at the previous year's festival." Ms. Radlmann said that the craft show complements the other festival activities. "While the children are painting pumpkins or getting their faces painted, parents get to do some early holiday shopping." She also notes, "Buying handmade supports our country, is a bargain because it saves you shipping costs, and is greener because the goods you buy come in less packaging." Crafters can email info@thecraftique.com or call 201-978-6161for an application.
Harvest Festival admission price is $20 per carload, which includes all activities, door prize tickets, pumpkins (one per child), cotton candy, and popcorn. Barbecue food and drinks are an additional cost. All proceeds benefit the Tewksbury Rescue Squad and Public Library. For more information visit http://www.tewksburytwp.net.
