FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) February 23, 2012 --
San Diego, USA. February 24, 2012. Clinical Trials in Asia 2012 (CTA 2012), the largest Asia focused conference in North America, is expected to provide a major boost to medical research in Asia. American companies account for the largest share of trials being conducted in Asia and the growth prospects are enormous.
Lack of sufficient knowledge about the intricacies of medical research in Asia and limited collaboration opportunities are thought to limit many of the smaller Biotech and Pharmaceutical companies and University researchers from including countries from Asia in their research plans.
The regional focus of the CTA 2012 provides a unique platform for Medical researchers, Healthcare IT companies and CROs from Asia to engage and collaborate with American companies and researchers interested in Asia. The event is designed to highlight the opportunities in Asia and details ways to overcome the challenges commonly faced by American companies.
“Asia has more than 50% of the world’s population and some of the most promising growth markets, however the region’s share in medical research is only about 20%” says Dr. Kiran Reddy, CTA 2012 Co- Chair and Chief Scientific Officer of SSI Events. “Events like the CTA 2012 can unravel the potential of Asia and showcase companies from the region. “
CTA 2012 will be conducted as a 2 –part event on June 20 and 21st, 2012 in San Diego, California and August 2-3rd, 2012 in Boston, Massachusetts. Speakers include leading clinical research and therapeutic area experts from Asia. More than 100 senior decision makers from American companies are expected to take part in the two day event.
