Zoom Gallery in Fleischmanns, NY will exhibit the art of Jose Acosta in a show entitled "Color, Joy & Happines", to open on Saturday, July 2, 2011 and close on Sunday, July 31, 2011.

The opening reception for Mr. Acosta will be held at Zoom Gallery, Saturday, July 2, from 1-4 PM. All are invited to this event which includes light refreshments and live music.

Approximately 20 paintings by popular Hudson Valley artist Jose Acosta will be on display at Zoom Gallery, 1033 Main Street, Fleischmanns, NY 12430, in the heart of the Catskill Mountains. Mr. Acosta's works are in many private and public collections such as the World Bank Art Program in Washington, DC and The University of Pennsylvania. His work is included in "Antologia de Pintores Hispano-Americans" 2009, and his painting, "Celebration" is on the cover of that book. Acosta was also recently voted in as a member of the French Academy of Arts-Sciences-Letters in Paris and received the Bronze Medal in Arts.
A consummate optimist, his paintings are vibrant, full of the happiness he has found in his life. Jose's bright colors and sense of humor are part of a positive outlook and hope for "a future world where we will all live in peace and plenty." In these times of economic and environmental stressors, it is felt that the upbeat art of Jose Acosta is a much needed inspiration for individuals to achieve their best.
