FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) December 1, 2009 --
Remember that High Court band name trial between LIBERTY and the soon to be Liberty X? In 2001 Richard Branson's record label V2 and their newly signed band from Popstars tried to take the name of a cult London funk band called LIBERTY. David Lyall & Kevin Sutherland from the original Liberty took on the might of V2's top music lawyers in the High Court.....and won! Now in 2009 Liberty have launched their Facebook fan page.
“We now have a platform where Liberty fans from all over the world can listen to our music which dates back to the 1980’s, read about our history and future plans, view photos and interact with the band” commented David Lyall, Liberty’s lead guitarist.
Liberty started in the 1980’s and went on to win Capital Radio Band of the Year, play Wembley Arena twice and release albums and singles in Europe and the USA during the 1990s. The members of Liberty have also worked with the likes of Basement Jaxx, Blue, Westlife, Craig David, Lemar, Alexander O’Neal, Paul Weller and many more.
Liberty’s Facebook fan page can be found at: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Liberty/165299456605?v=wall
