Cultural Convoy in Al Marfaa a big success with over 3000 participants

The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development (MCYCD)-organised Sixth Cultural Convoy concluded on a high note, after receiving a great response in Al Marfaa City, Western Region, Abu Dhabi

The community initiative was organized by the Ministry for two consecutive days with more than 3000 people from Al Marfaa and surrounding areas participating. The cultural events included a poetry evening organized by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage.
The events included an equestrian show, sports and maritime shows. There were also two lectures about "National Heritage" and "National Identity." A number of cultural and heritage competitions for all ages, with more than 200 prizes was held during the two days.

Afraa Al Sabri, Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services at MYCD, said that the Cultural Convoys' initiative aims to establish and foster values of community culture as a key objective in the strategy of the Ministry.
The people in Al Marfaa, in the Western Region, praised the Cultural Convoys concept organized by the Ministry of Culture in their region and appreciated the Ministry's role in communicating with the community, to develop it culturally and bring up a creative youth for an ambitious future.
