Custom Design Fixtures for Pad Printers

Latest customized fixtures from Pad Print Machinery of Vermont includes one wrapping two parallel stripes onto a bowling pin (Fig. 1). The second pad printer, the bowling pin is flipped to print different images on both sides (Fig. 2).

In both cases, a standard series KP08 pad printer was modified to accommodate the custom fixtures. The first pad printer was fitted with a cupslide, which allows the printing of longer images (the two stripes in this case) onto the surface. The bowling pin is placed into the fixture; the pad remains stationary and the pin rotates as it travels along the table bed.
The other pad printer uses two sealed ink cups and two pads that shuttle left to right in order to print the different images, one image per side.
These fixtures are integrated into the controller’s software and can be accessed through the touch screen located on the front of the printer.
