(Free-Press-Release.com) March 14, 2011 --
CyberGuard International (www.my-cyber-guard.com) a new Nevada-based company, aims to curb texting while driving, stop cyber-bullying, halt online predators in their tracks and help parents protect their children from dangerous cyber attacks. Representing WebSafety, Inc., a leading software provider of innovative and web safety-related applications for PC’s and mobile devices, CyberGuard International is using the latest cutting-edge technology along with a plethora variety of advanced safety features in a bid to protect minors nationwide.
Across the country, cyber-attacks, including predatory behavior and cyber-bullying, continue to have a potentially devastating impact on families while sexting among minors has become a nationwide problem. WebSafety, Inc., based in Irvine Texas, has a cutting-edge application powered by an extensive database of statistically-proven keywords and phrases commonly used in cyber threats. WebSafety sends out immediate alerts to parents whenever their child has received a potentially dangerous predatory or bullying-type message.
In addition to WebSafety, CyberGuard International also offers CellSafety, an application designed to prevent texting while driving. One of its key features include Message Monitoring, which enables parents to receive instant notification whenever the application finds a dangerous message that contains known terms related to sexting, cyber-bullying, suicide or gun talk and other related threats. Other powerful features include No Text Zones, which blocks text messaging while in pre-defined zones such as schools, Speed Alerts which notifies adults if a child goes over a set speed limit and GPS Tracking. These powerful features, among others, all combine to effectively protect minors before a threat becomes real.
"Distracted driving has become one of the biggest causes of motor vehicle accidents, injuries and deaths in the United States." stated Travis Bond, WebSafety's Chief Operations Officer on July 21, 2010 to NBC Dallas-Fort Worth.
To prevent that level of dangerous distraction, CellSafety blocks all other applications on cellphone or smartphone devices that connect you to the web, email and texting in moving vehicles traveling at least 10 mph.
"The technology uses the GPS in the phone and it senses motion," Bond continues, according to NBC Dallas-Fort Worth.
Just as alerts play a vital role in WebSafety’s application for protecting minors from cyber attacks, immediate notifications are central to CellSafety’s effectiveness. If anyone other than a CellSafety account administrator or manager tries to disable the application, the program automatically sends an alert to administrators letting them know that someone is trying to circumvent the technology. The program is customizable giving the administrator total freedom in managing the application programs.
Both WebSafety and CellSafety are available in various plan combinations, including a Basic $9.99 per month plan consisting of WebSafety or CellSafety enabled on one PC or cellphone, an upgraded Gold plan for $14.99 per month which includes WebSafety and CellSafety enabled on three different devices, and a $39.99 Platinum plan consisting of WebSafefy and CellSafety enabled on a total of five devices. In a special introductory offer, CyberGuard International is currently offering a 30 day free trial period for new enrollments.
