Cynthia Kocialski to speak at Global Marathon 
with a topic focus of “How to Fix the Alarming Number of New Business Failures”

Los Angeles, California, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) March 5, 2012 -- San Francisco, CA - March 5-10, 2012 – In a virtual worldwide internet event Cynthia Kocialski will be speaking at the Global Marathon – For, By and About Women in Engineering and Technology. This is part of the National Engineers Week Foundation and will be an online conference connecting a worldwide community. Ms. Kocialski will present a program on “How to Apply the Scientific Method to Creating and Building a Start-Up Business.”

Ms. Kocialski will explore why entrepreneurs should not start with a business plan and how entrepreneurs should get started. It’s all about the scientific method and concept plan. Every entrepreneurs or business owner is looking for the “secret” to creating a successful new business. Many governments, including the US, are touting entrepreneurship and new business creation as the means to lead the way out of the recession. But with such high failure rates, this won’t work unless there is a system to create these new companies with more certainty of success. Taking a cue from the systematic approach of the scientific method, a business method was devised to address this issue.

Kocialski writes the popular Start-up Entrepreneurs’ Blog, which covers observations, lessons, and humorous stories of life inside start-ups, and is the author of Startup from the Ground Up and Out of the Classroom Lessons in Success. Raised in Buffalo, New York, her career has taken her to New York City, Washington, D.C., Miami, and San Francisco. She is a graduate of the University of Rochester and University of Virginia.

Cynthia Kocialski is the founder of three companies, has been involved with dozens of start-ups, and has worked with established companies to bring start-up techniques and technologies to corporations desiring to process improvement and efficiency.
