d_skin® Provides a Cure for ‘Lendaphobia,’ and Eliminates The Fear of Lending Video Games, DVD and Music Discs to Friends & Family a New Survey Reveals 75 Percent of Americans Won’t Lend Discs to Anyone; 94 Percent are not willing to take chances when lending discs.
Three out of four Americans won’t lend their CDs, DVDs and video game discs to anyone – not even family and friends – because they believe the risk of losing digital content is too great, according to a survey conducted by market research firm Synovate.
“The explosion of digital material found on CDs and DVDs has led to a growing phenomenon called ‘Lendaphobia,’” said Marc Saltzman, syndicated technology columnist and author of 13 books, including the “DVD Confidential” series. “And as new, more expensive games and new movie formats like blue ray rise in popularity, so is the investment consumers are willing to make to protect their media.”
d_skin, an inexpensive, precision engineered film offers a cure for Lendaphobia by protecting any standard size disc from scratches or smudges by simply snapping it onto a video game, DVD or CD and leaving it on even while it plays. Named by Time Magazine as one of its most amazing inventions, d_skin is so thin that the disc is read right through the plastic film without distortion or skipping.
“This survey shows us consumers are definitely concerned about protecting their discs, but maybe they are unaware that a solution is available,” said Robert Steadman CEO of RES Innovations the manufacture and owners of d_skin.
“Almost everyone has experienced the frustration of trying to play a disc that’s been permanently damaged, and a solution as simple and inexpensive as d_skin can cure all that.”
It is estimated that each year billions of dollars of CDs, DVDs and games are damaged and thrown away due to unrepairable scratches. “Any parent of small children knows how easily a disc can be damaged,” says Saltzman, who is the father of three young children himself. “By using d_skin, anyone can protect cherished memories, a favorite movie or important information using this revolution in disc protection.”
d-skin Makes It Safe to Lend Your Discs. d_skin can be used in any a tray-loaded CD or , Blue Ray or DVD player, as well as computer games including PlayStation®, Xbox.® or Wii. d_skin can even remain on a disc as you record to it, making it an ideal product for those who want to protect archived home movies and photography. d_skin also enables consumers to cut down on storage space for their disc collections because they no longer need bulky jewel cases, CD catalogs or CD sleeves.
