D2S GAMES ANNOUNCES GAME DEVELOPER “UNDERGROUND” EVENTS: First D2S Underground event on to be sponsored by Intel, Blue Angel Vodka, SF School of Digital Filmmaking, etc

San Francisco, California, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) March 29, 2011 -- San Francisco, CA --- March 24, 2011 --- D2S Games announced today that it will begin hosting a series of D2S Games Underground events for the game and creative communities in the SF Bay Area. The first D2S Games Underground will showcase the new D2S Game platform and show developers how they can apply their existing skills to develop the next hottest game on the next hot platform. The event will be held on March 31 from 6-9pm in San Francisco at the San Francisco School of Digital Filmmaking on 5th and Mission in SF.

“The local game community in the San Francisco Bay Area is robust and among the best game communities in the world,” said Beth Rogozinski, CEO of D2S Games. “With these events, we want to celebrate this community and provide them access to the platform we’ve developed and are rolling out. We will also provide an environment where game developers can learn new techniques, work together in teams and start making money by deploying their games on the big screen with D2S Games.”

At this first event, D2S Games will demonstrate it’s new D2S Games platform, discuss it’s business model and answer questions from coders about how they can get started. “Our platform is ideal for developers who create with Unity, Corona, Flash or raw code on Linux, Windows, Apple, and Android,” said Matt Siegel, CTO of D2S Games. Matt, along with CVO Donna Bonifield and CEO Rogozinski will all be presenting the platform during the night and answering questions. Other D2S team members and advisors will also be available during networking and Q&A sessions to provide one-on-one assistance and answers.

The D2S Games platform connects players mobile phones to big screen, multi-player game action. While players can fly, run or answer trivia questions using their phones as a Wii like controller, all the game play action takes place on a big screen so all players, as well as the general event audience, can view and participate in the game. D2S Games has been featured at events, in bars and pubs and at the California Academy of Science’s NightLife.

In addition to the educational aspects of the evening, the D2S Games Underground is being sponsored by Blue Angel Vodka, Intel, YetiZen and the San Francisco School of Digital Filmmaking. D2S Games and participating sponsors will provide drinks and food for all attendees during the event. Intel is also supplying the first 150 attendees a free copy of the book, Screen Future, by noted Intel Futurist, Brian David Johnson. Attendees are encouraged to download the new iOS enabled D2S MoJoe controller to play the games during networking and presentations.
