The fans went wild as the 2011 Season Opener for the Dallas Derby Devils, All Female flat track roller derby league, showed all of North Texas how Dallas Does Derby! The 2nd bout of this already action packed season will be held Saturday May 21st at Nytex Sports Centre in North Richland Hills (8851 Ice House Drive, NRH). Doors open at 5:30pm, and the non-stop action begins at 6:00pm and doesn't stop until the after-party at Zuroma's Sicilian Kitchen located right inside of the NYTEX Sports Centre! Get to the game early if you want a trackside seat but don’t forget to BYOC (bring your own chair) or enjoy the great views from the stadium style seats!

If you missed the opener you missed the fierce ladies of the Hell Razors representing DDD with speed, style and success! The home teams came out next with the 2010 Champion High Seas Hotties barely pulling out a win at the last minute against the Suicide Shifters and the Death Row Rumblers showed the Wrecking Crew that their beloved “stroller derby” is not unbeatable! May 21st is sure not to disappoint with the Hell Razors taking on the girls from Randall County. The last time we saw our fellow friends from the panhandle they showed up with their B team that was thirsty for blood. They battled it out against DDD’s very own Slaughterers in a hard hitting bout which sent the Slaughterers home nursing their wounds. Will the Hell Razors show these Amarillo girls you can’t mess with their sisters or will the RCRD Travel Team bring their big girl hits to show the Hell Razors that’s how RCRD rolls?

We knew that game would leave you hankering for more action on 8 wheels so hold on to your toe stops for the home season teams Death Row Rumblers taking on the Slaughterers. 2010 was a tough year for the Slaughterers with a string of losses. Has their rebuild year paid off or will the Rumblers continue to roll over anyone that gets in their way? Will the Wrecking Crew pull out their stroller derby card and send the High Seas Hotties home with their first loss or will the Hotties fast, agile jammers find their way around those stand still blockers to take home their 2nd victory?
