Dan Perkins Subaru to Host Blood Drive to Give Back to Community

Milford, CT – August 10, 2011 – Dan Perkins Subaru is holding a blood drive in their showroom on Wednesday, August 31st from 1pm-7pm. The blood drive will be done through the American Red Cross and will be open to all local residents who wish to donate.

Live radio remotes will take place at Dan Perkins Subaru throughout the blood drive. WICC will be on-site from 1pm-3pm and WEBE will be there from 5pm-7pm. Donors will be able to enjoy free prizes and giveaways from the radio stations, hot dogs and burgers on the grill, plus free gifts from Jake’s Burgers and coupons from Edible Arrangements.

Dan Perkins Subaru takes pride in staying connected with the community and decided to host the blood drive now, as there is a particular need for blood during the summer. According the American Red Cross - a 125-year strong movement of service - “Every minute of every day, someone needs blood... When you make a blood donation, you join a very select group. Currently only 3 out of every 100 people in America donate blood… The American Red Cross has formed a community of service, of generous, strong and decent people bound by beliefs beyond themselves. By hosting a convenient way to give back to the community, Dan Perkins Subaru is hoping to energize their employees, customers and local residents to join in the mission of the American Red Cross to maintain a safe and stable blood supply.
