Dan Perkins Subaru to Host Pet Adoption Event

Milford, CT – December 1, 2011 – Dan Perkins Subaru is holding a Pet Adoption Event at their dealership on Saturday, December 17th, from 10am-2pm. The event will be done through The Animal Haven, a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter located in North Haven, CT, and will be open to all area residents.

Volunteers from The Animal Haven will come to Dan Perkins Subaru in a North Shore Animal League bus, which will have several cats and kittens available for adoption. They will also bring any appropriate dogs that they may have. People may enter the bus to meet the animals during the event at Dan Perkins Subaru, but adoptions will be handled at The Animal Haven, located at 89 Mill Road in North Haven. Cat toys and dog sweaters will also be available for a small donation.

Dan Perkins Subaru, a proud supporter of the local community, applauds The Animal Haven’s dedication to the preservation and placement of homeless companion animals. Their mission is to provide a safe, caring and humane refuge for unwanted adoptable animals, and to insure quality adoptive homes. They advocate responsible pet ownership, mandatory spay/neuter policies, non-euthanization and the abolishment of animal cruelty through education. The Animal Haven promotes public involvement for the humane treatment of animals, and is committed to principles of justice and compassion for all animals. Since 1948, The Animal Haven has been celebrating the special friendship between people and their cherished animal companions.

Dan Perkins Subaru decided to host this event in hopes that people will consider giving a needy pet a home this holiday season and bring more joy to their lives.

A Live radio remote will take place at Dan Perkins Subaru throughout the event. WICC will be on-site from 11am-1pm.
